Boeing has delivered the most 737s in a single year than at any time in the aircraft’s production history, even though more than three weeks remain to the end of 2012.

On December 3 the 377th Next Generation 737 built in 2012 was handed over, a -900ER for United Airlines.  The previous highest 737 delivery figure was 376 in 2010.

Meanwhile back in October the 737 set a record for the number of orders received in a single year, breaking the record of 846 set in 2007. In 2012 net orders to date have topped 1,031 for the 737 family of aircraft including the new MAX range.
