Airbus has achieved new milestones after having received 186 orders and delivered 54 aircraft during November to bring total orders to more than 12,000 – at 12,064.

The manufacturer is also heading towards a delivery record in 2012, with 516 aircraft delivered to the end of November, compared with 534 for the whole of 2011.

Around 3,500 of the current backlog of more than 4,500 aircraft are for the A320-family.

At the end of November Airbus is four orders short of its sales target of 650 aircraft for 2012.
