Airbus confirms order for 20 more A320neo jets and more A350s

written by WOFA | January 11, 2013

International leasing company Avolon has confirmed orders for 20 A320neo aircraft, increasing its initial commitment for 15 of the aircraft made last year.

Avolon said the order for additional aircraft follows “strong customer feedback” and that the new generation aircraft “is a natural complement to our extensive sale and leaseback and other financing capabilities”.

The lessor will make an engine selection at a later date.

Meanwhile finance company CIT Group has placed a second order for 10 A350s to add to the 15 it ordered in 2012.  The order brings to 253 the number of Airbus aircraft CIT has ordered, which includes more than 110 twin-aisle aircraft.
