Etihad is ramping up capacity on its existing thrice-weekly services between Brisbane, Singapore and Abu Dhabi to offer daily flights using A330-200 aircraft from February 1.

The new flights will add 1,048 seats a week to the route, demand for which Etihad expects will be created through close co-operation with Queensland government and tourism industry support.

Etihad CEO James Hogan said: “We have just signed a new marketing agreement with Tourism and Events Queensland to encourage more visitors from the Middle East, UK and Europe to holiday in the Sunshine State.”

Brisbane was Etihad’s second Australian destination, commencing services in 2007.  EY473 departs Brisbane daily at 1155.
