Visual Vectoring, an Australian company specialising in training concepts for air traffic control (ATC) operations has successfully exported a computer-based ATC training package to China.

Qingdao ATC Station in Shandong province is using the VV Approach training program for new controllers and to upgrade the skills of current radar approach controllers to manage rapidly growing traffic levels.

Visual Vectoring has also recently sold its training packages in Saudi Arabia, Fiji and Hong Kong.

The company said: “The computer-based training replaces the traditional manual (instructor/simulator) training method and may be used without the redesign of existing training curricula.”
