CAPA adds new global aircraft database to products

written by WOFA | March 27, 2013

The Centre for Aviation – CAPA – has added ‘CAPA Fleets’ to its growing list of product offerings – a database that details some 51,000 aircraft worldwide. The product is being pitched as a “new generation fleet database for professionals who require the most accurate and reliable fleet data, without a gold plated price tag”.

CAPA said is has developed the database on a flexible platform, offering time-saving download and display options and responds to the consolidation and rising expense of fleet data.

CAPA’s Derek Sadubin told Australian Aviation: “The CAPA Fleets database is the culmination of hours of research utilising a myriad of sources including technical verification, published data and via networking. Our team not only has more than 30 years’ combined experience in aircraft data research, but has worked in the aviation business and this experience allows them to see beyond the pure data and present relevant information rather than confusing noise.

“We analyse gathered data critically and take nothing as read. Our rationale was that our clients’ most valuable commodities are time and money and we want to value these commodities by delivering relevant timely and material information to our customers wherever and wherever they need it with no expensive premium for irrelevant data.” Sadubin added that CAPA Fleets is delivered via cloud computing and is updated in real-time.

Launching the new product, CAPA executive chairman Peter Harbison, said: “We are very proud to be unveiling this new database. It is an important step in establishing CAPA as a key platform to support the industry in the global aircraft, aerospace and financing arenas at affordable prices. It is a testament to our skilled and hard working dedicated fleet data team as well as our global network of Senior Analysts and writers who are constantly gathering intelligence to ensure the fleet data is the most accurate available. We are looking forward to gathering feedback from the industry to continue to evolve and develop our fleet service”.
