Gulfstream has earned type certificate validation from civil aviation authorities in China for the super mid-size G280, opening up access to one of the world’s fastest growing business aviation markets.
Similar validation has also been awarded by Canada, recognising the G280 is compliant with airworthiness and environmental requirements, and represents one of the last steps required for an aircraft to be registered in a particular country.
The 10-seat aircraft’s 3,600nm range, capable of connecting Shanghai and Singapore, and Beijing with Mumbai, will make the G280 a promising sales opportunity for Gulfstream in China.
In the last year alone business jet sales in China increased 40 per cent, with that trend set to continue, particularly in the mid to large-size cabin aircraft.
