Flight simulator operator Flight Experience has reached a business partnership with Pan Am International Flight Academy, one of the world’s leading pilot training operators.

The result of talks over the last 12 months, the partnership will see Flight Experience offering initial pilot training and advanced type ratings to customers planning to pursue a career in aviation.

“This partnership is exactly the sort of professional arrangement we were looking for. Our business has its roots in entertainment, but the market for pilot training is huge, and our devices offer a great bridge from general aviation to airline aviation. Over the last few years we have been moving into more professional areas, with our devices being used by airlines, schools and universities,” Iain Pero, Flight Experience’s director of sales said.

“Flight Experience will now be able to offer customers interested in pursuing a career in aviation a comprehensive pilot training track from zero time to first officer and a type rating— training locally at first at a Flight Experience facility, then moving on for extended training with Pan Am in the USA.”

The announcement of the deal with Pan Am was made at the Asia Pacific Aviation Training Symposium held recently in Bangkok this week.
