Qantas will progressively extend its Select on Q-Eat to Premium Economy passengers travelling on selected international flights from September 16 and will add more destinations to the Business Class Select on Q-Eat service.

Select on Q-Eat allows customers to pre-order their meal prior to flying. The service, offering an additional dish available as an online exclusive on selected routes, can pre-ordered between seven days and 12 hours prior to departure via ‘manage your booking’ on the Qantas website.

The Premium Economy option is first being extended to
all flights from Dallas to Australia and from September 23 to all flights from Los Angeles to Australia. All flights between Australia, London and Dubai will be added to Premium Economy from October.

In Business Class, Qantas is extending Select on Q-Eat to flights from Narita, Shanghai, Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta and Honolulu to Australia.

Select on Q-Eat will be extended to customers travelling internationally in Economy Class from late 2013.

Qantas executive manager international customer experience Alison Webster said: “The Select on Q-Eat offering in Business Class has been very well received since its introduction last year. Our customers tell us they enjoy the ability to confirm their meal choice prior to their flight, or to advise us in advance that their priority is to maximise their rest on board, and have their bed made up by our cabin crew directly after take off.”
