Sydney Swans footballer Adam Goodes has become Qantas’s latest ‘ambassador’.

CEO Alan Joyce said that Qantas has a commitment to promoting cultural diversity and raising the profile of Indigenous culture. “We are honoured that Adam, as one of the most respected and prominent Indigenous Australians, will now be working with us towards these goals,” he said.

“With Adam’s help we will increase the engagement with our employees and customers on Indigenous issues. His involvement is a key part of our strategy to create positive change through sports, as well as through education, employment and the performing arts.”

Goodes is a dual Brownlow Medallist and dual premiership player. Other current Qantas Ambassadors are Miranda Kerr, John Travolta, Mark Webber, Daniel Ricciardo and Kelly Cartwright.
