Eagle Copters Australasia touches down in Coffs

Eagle Copters Australasia has launched helicopter leasing and sales operations from its Coffs Harbour Airport base, the company announced on Wednesday.

Privately-owned Eagle Copters Australasia has been set up as a sister company to Calgary, Canada-based Eagle Copters Ltd, which offers helicopter leasing, sales, completions, maintenance, repair and overhaul and support services, and has developed its own re-engine programs for the Bell 212 and Bell 407 helicopters.

Under managing director Grant Boyter and chief engineer Rohan Schallmeiner Eagle Copters Australasia says its services include helicopter sales and leasing, including of Eagle Copter’s T53-17A re-engine of the Bell 212 (known as the Eagle Single) and the HTS-900D-2 re-engined Bell 407 (known as the Eagle 407HP) for sale and lease and is involved in sourcing helicopters for the EMS and resources sectors. The company’s new two-hangar facility can undertake a range of servicing, rebuild and fit-out tasks, including painting.
