Air Canada has announced an agreement with Boeing for the purchase of up to 109 737 MAXs across commitments, options and rights.
The order was announced as part of the airline’s mainline narrowbody fleet renewal plan, which will replace Air Canada’s existing Airbus narrowbody fleet.
When finalised the firm order for 61 737 MAX 8s and MAX 9s is expected to be worth $6.5 million, at list prices.
Vice president of North America sales for Boeing commercial Brad McMullen said: “We’re honored that Air Canada chose Boeing to lead its fleet renewal plan … We know the 737 MAX will provide the airline and its customers with an experience that can’t be matched.”
