The Royal Australian Air Force’s (RAAF) Air Lift Group has marked a change of command with a parade at RAAF Base Richmond.

Air Commodore Warren McDonald assumed command of the group on December 6, having most recently served as Director General Capability Planning in Air Force Headquarters in Canberra.

The outgoing commander, Air Commodore Gary Martin, will now serve as the Air Attaché at the Australian Embassy in Washington, DC. Air Lift Group operates a fleet of 36 aircraft and is responsible for all of the RAAF’s air mobility operations.
