Qantas has been granted the Sydney to Moree licence by Transport NSW for a four year period from March 22.

The airline has been the wester NSW centre on an interim basis since the collapse of Brindabella Airlines in December, and will use 36-seat Dash 8 Q200 and 50-seat Q300 equipment on the 12 return services, providing a total of more than 500 seats each way per week.

“We are really pleased to be staying in Moree, providing a great service that the people of Moree and district can rely on” said Mr Gissing. “QantasLink proudly served the Moree community for 21 years up until March last year, and we know a lot of people were delighted when we returned temporarily a couple of months ago.”
