Singapore Airlines low-cost offshoot Scoot has revealed some details of its introduction plans for its Boeing 787-9, the first of 20 of which is due to enter service in November.
Scoot will become the second 787-9 operator after Air New Zealand, and will configure its aircraft with 375 seats in a 35-seat 2-3-2 business class and 340-seat 3-3-3 economy class configuration.
Scoot will also take some 787-8s which will have 330 seats in a similar configuration.

says:OK – I have often thought (while travelling cattle class) that if 3 seats cost $100 each = $300, would I be prepared to pay $150 for a two seat layout = $300 – exactly the same return for the airline.
The answer is a definite Yes – but will those two seats be charged at $150 each? I doubt it…
Obviously many travellers would not spend the extra 50%, but on a trip from, say, Brisbane – Perth, it would be worth its weight in gold – to me, anyhow!
