Airways New Zealand and GroupEAD have signed an agreement to establish a joint-venture to provide next-generation AIM and Airport Data Quality services across the region.
The joint venture intends to commence operations on 1 July, and says it will provide “aeronautical information of a considerably higher quality and accessibility than is generally available today,” and enhance “safety and efficiency of aviation in the region. It will also offer an advanced and integrated procedure design service, including services based on modern Performance Based Navigation (PBN) technology.”
Russell Hulstrom, General Manager Airways Global Services said; “Our team have been working closely with our European partners to bring us to this stage, and we are looking forward to the official launch and operational startup of this company in the middle of this year. GroupEAD’s services will be of immense value to industry in this part of the world as we work through the transformation towards System Wide Information Management.”
