Qantas has formally launched its new loyalty program aimed at small to medium enterprises (SMEs) that will allow them to earn rewards for everyday business expenses.

Dubbed Aquire, the new scheme has already seen nearly 30,000 businesses to pre-register. Aquire will allow SMEs to build an Aquire Points balance from everyday eligible business transactions including travel, banking, insurance and parking.

“Aquire rewards businesses for their loyalty by delivering tangible benefits that can have a positive impact on their bottom line,” Qantas Loyalty CEO Lesley Grant said in a statement.

“With program partners including Qantas, Westpac, Deloitte Private and GIO, Aquire makes it easy for businesses to earn points for everyday transactions.”

The new scheme has been backed by the NSW Business Chamber, with CEO Stephen Cartwright saying Aquire would provide support for Australia’s two million small business owners. “Considering the economic challenges Australian businesses currently face, the Aquire loyalty program will be welcomed as an opportunity to be rewarded for doing everyday business.”
