Qantas has confirmed it will again operate seasonal services between Perth and Auckland again next summer following the success of a similar seasonal service last summer.

The airline said it would utilise A330s which are normally laid up on weekends to operate the service. Flights from Perth to Auckland will depart on Friday and Saturday evenings, and the return flights will depart Auckland on Saturday and Sunday mornings from December 5 to April 26.

“We’re pleased this service proved to be so popular for our Perth customers,” Qantas CEO International Simon Hickey said in a statement. “We’ve extended its run this year to meet demand with 84 flights and almost 20,000 seats over the five months. This is part of our strategy to become more dynamic and flexible in response to market opportunities.”
