A May 29 report in the New Zealand Herald says Virgin Australia management positions in the country are under review and may be relocated and consolidated in Australia.

The report says the proposal would provide single lines of accountability and better coordination of operations while reducing duplication.

“We are currently reviewing a proposal to integrate the management of Virgin Australia New Zealand’s operations into the rest of our international operations, which would see one team manage all of our international operations out of Brisbane, Australia,” an airline spokesman told the NZ Herald. “No decision will be made until we consult with our New Zealand based staff and consider their feedback.”
