Those looking to get up close and personal with a RAAF F/A-18F Super Hornet should make their way to Aviation Australia’s training centre at Brisbane Airport on Saturday.

The facility will host the annual Aviation Careers Expo, where the Super Hornet is not only one of 25 aircraft on static display but will also be featured as part of the Air Force Simulator Experience (AFSE). Other aircraft on static display include a KC-30A air-to-air refueller, and Army ARH Tiger and MRH 90 helicopters.

Now in its 14th year, the Aviation Careers Expo is the largest and only aviation dedicated expo and gives students, graduates and those looking to work in the aviation and aerospace a chance to meet with industry representatives.

Exhibitors at Saturday’s event include Defence Force Recruiting, Airways Aviation, CASA and CTC Aviation Training.

There will be seminars from Griffith University, Airservices Australia, Sarina Russo Institute, Sarina Russo Apprenticeships and Qantas Credit Union.

People who register their attendance online automatically go into the draw to win a guided runway tour sponsored by Brisbane Airports Corporation.

Australian Aviation is a platinum sponsor of the event, which runs from 1000 to 1600 on Saturday, August 23.
