Archerfield Airport opens new student accommodation facility

written by WOFA | October 22, 2014

Archerfield Airport in Brisbane’s south-west has opened a new $4 million student accommodation facility.

The airport, which is about 11km from Brisbane’s CBD and caters for general aviation and flying schools, has about 10 providers of pilot training and aviation-related courses.

The two-storey Aviation Student Accommodation Complex (ASAC), which was leased and managed by Basair Aviation College, could house up to 40 people and would support “a major growth sector” at Archerfield, the airport said in a statement.

“Archerfield is already Queensland’s leading flight training centre, and this complex has met a strong demand for quality, affordable onsite accommodation,” Archerfield Airport general manager Corrie Metz said.
