Visitors to the 2015 Avalon Airshow are in for a treat with confirmation the F-22 Raptor will return to delight crowds with a flying display.

Airshow organisers, who describe the aircraft as an “awesome piece of military hardware”, said on Thursday a US Air Force Raptor Display Team will make the trip from its Langley base to Avalon with two aircraft, two pilots and a support crew.

Held every two years, the Airshow at Avalon Airport next year runs from February 24 to March 1 2015.
