Embraer has delivered its first Legacy 500mid-size business jet to an Australian customer.
The Legacy 500, N142GZ, was purchased by an undisclosed Australian businessman based in North Queensland, Embraer said in a statement.
The aircraft was expected to be on site at the Australian International Airshow, which begins on Tuesday February 24 at Avalon Airport.
Both the Legacy 500 and Legacy 650, as well as Embraer’s Phenom 300 and Phenom 100, were due to be on display at the Airshow.
“The Legacy 500 is proving itself to be a very capable executive jet and well suited to the Australian market,” Embraer Executive Jets chief executive Marco Túlio Pellegrini said.
“We are grateful for the confidence that this customer has placed in Embraer, and we are fully committed to supporting their operations.”
ExecuJet is the authorised maintenance provider for the Legacy 500 in Australia, while Hawker Pacific in Singapore is also authorised to provide full maintenance support for the aircraft.
