Business women’s awards calls for ADF nominees

written by WOFA | May 7, 2015

Australian Defence Force (ADF) members have been celebrated each year in the Telstra Business Women’s Awards, and more women are being encouraged to enter in 2015. The awards have already rewarded and raised the profile of thousands of women across all areas of business that have pushed boundaries and achieved excellence, the organisers stated. Women in the ADF can be nominated for the Government and Academia category.

Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Squadron Leader Samantha Freebairn, winner of the 2014 Telstra Queensland Business Innovation Award, said: “Of all the wonderful things winning the Telstra Business Women’s Award gave me, the most noticeable has been a sense of validation. It is often quite difficult and lonely working in the diversity space, and influencing and leading cultural change. However, being recognised for this work, and meeting other women who are also leaders and real game-changers across every industry, has been uplifting, inspiring and invigorating.”

Nominations for the Telstra Business Women’s Awards can be made at http://www.telstrabusinesswomensawards.com or by calling 1800 817 536 until June 29.
