Virgin Australia has extended its long-term partnership up with Travelport, which will also include an improved presentation of its products and services to travel agents.

The airline has signed an agreement to use Travelport’s Rich Content and Branding Solution, Travelport said in a statement on Monday.

The application will allow Virgin’s new cabin products, such as its the updated business class seats on board its Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 777-300ER fleet, to be more effectively presented to travel agents via global distribution systems (GDS). Moreover, Travelport-connected travel agents will also be able to offer customers ancillary options such as lounge passes and extra legroom seats.

“Travelport’s Rich Content and Branding solution will enable us to share details of exciting products and services such as our new Business Class suite with travel agents around Australia and worldwide,” Virgin Australia Chief Commercial Officer Judith Crompton said in a statement.

Travelport vice president, Asia Pacific and Global Sales Strategy, Air Commerce, Damian Hickey said Rich Content and Branding would complement Virgin’s customer experience goals.
