Emirates will reinstate its daily Boeing 777-300ER Brisbane-Singapore-Dubai flight from Saturday after the route was suspended for about six months due to what the airline said was because of runway works.
Since May, Emirates’ EK432 and EK433 rotations have operated nonstop between Brisbane and Dubai, rather than with a technical stop in Singapore. The EK433 has also had a later departure time of 0500, rather than 0230 with the Singapore stop.
At the time, the airline said the schedule change was due to necessary runway construction works at Brisbane Airport that were scheduled during planned overnight runway closures.
With that work now completed, the Qantas alliance partner said on Tuesday it was ready to bring back the Singapore stop for EK432/EK433 from October 1.
“Emirates will be recommencing services from Brisbane to Singapore from 1 October 2016, after the service was temporarily suspended due to routine construction works for the Brisbane Airport runway,” the airline said in a statement.
The airline also has a second daily Brisbane-Dubai service, operated with Airbus A380. Emirates also flies from Brisbane to Auckland.
