The Australian Aviation podcast had a busy week at the recently concluded Avalon Airshow, interviewing a range of guests from those in the military to business leaders, as well as an aviation veteran, across the first five days of the event.

Day 1:
On Day One, Rob Brus spoke with ADBR managing editor Andrew McLaughlin, Australian Aviation photographer Mark Jessop and Women in Aviation International’s Lea Vesic.

Day 2:
Guests on Day 2 included Commander Air Warfare Centre Air Commodore Philip Gordon, Equatorial Launch Australia chief executive Carley Scott, Leonardo head of tiltrotor marketing Bill Sunick, Australian Frontline Machinery general manager Colin Werner, JAR Aerospace co-founder and chief executive Jack Cullen, Foxbat Aircraft Australia Peter Harlow and Australian Women Pilots’ Association Lucy Simkin.

Day 3:
This podcast featured conversations with Dick Smith, Lockheed Martin Australia business development directors Neale Prescott and Ray Cage, Cubic Global Defence director of strategy and business development Waylan Cain, The Decisive Point founder and director Brendan Maxwell and Raytheon electric warfare business lead Thomas Quast.

Day 4:
On the final trade day of the Avalon Airshow, the podcast spoke with Australian Army program manager for unmanned aerial systems Lieutenant Colonel Kieran Joyce, Australian Army School of Aviation Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Duncan Flindle, world champion drone racer Tom Bitmatta, Australian Army’s drone racing team’s Captain James Jenkins from 2RAR, Frequentis Australasia head of air traffic management Mark Robinson and Cobham Australia business development director Anthony Patterson.

Day 5:
The last Australian Aviation podcast from the Avalon Airshow was a conversation between host Rob Brus, Australian Aviation owner Christian “Boo” Boucousis, Commanding Officer of 1 SQN Wing Commander Ric Peapell, Commanding Officer of 3 SQN Wing Commander Darren Clare 3SQN and Commanding Officer of 2 OCU Wing Commander Scott Woodland.
