Air Canada Cargo has been named the 2024 Cargo Operator of the Year at the 50th annual ATW Airline Industry Achievement Awards, setting a milestone as the first Canadian airline to earn this distinction. The Montreal-based airline was honoured for its excellence in operations and its innovative approach to cargo handling, notably through its significant strides in digitalization.
The digital transformation of Air Canada Cargo has been a central aspect of its commercial strategy. This transformation entails the creation of a customer-centric digital environment that simplifies scheduling and booking processes with effective self-serve tools. Furthermore, the migration of customer accounts to a cloud-based system has significantly reduced the reliance on paper air waybills, aligning with sustainable operational practices.
Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning at Air Canada, expressed his gratitude and highlight the collective effort behind this achievement.
