United Airlines Holdings, Inc. has announced the appointment of Rosalind (Roz) Brewer to its Board of Directors. Brewer, admired for her leadership roles and hailed by Fortune and Forbes as one of the “Most Powerful Women in Business,” brings a wealth of CEO-level experience to the airline.

Brewer’s recent role as President and CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. saw her leading the company through the triumphs and challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, driving innovation, and enhancing customer engagement. Her past experience also includes a pivotal role as Chief Operating Officer of Starbucks Corporation and as President and CEO of Sam’s Club, a division of Walmart Inc.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Spelman College, Brewer continues to contribute significantly to various philanthropic endeavors, particularly in the arenas of education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
