Singapore Airlines elevates premium economy with luxury dining and new amenities

Singapore Airlines is set to enhance its Premium Economy Class service, introducing a range of new food and beverage choices along with an exclusive amenity kit from 31 March 2024. This initiative represents the airline’s most significant update to its Premium Economy Class offerings since the service was first introduced in 2015.

Upon boarding, passengers will be offered Charles de Cazanove Brut Tradition NV champagne, followed by a diverse selection of meals, snacks, and beverages detailed on a printed menu card. The service will include specially designed porcelain serviceware to enhance the dining experience. Additionally, for flights exceeding seven hours, passengers will receive a brand-new amenity kit, designed specifically for Premium Economy Class customers, in collaboration with Out of the Woods.

Mr Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience, shared the airline’s focus on innovation and meeting customer needs. “Since its introduction in 2015, Premium Economy Class has become popular with our customers,” he said. “Based on these insights, we have undertaken this comprehensive revamp of our Premium Economy Class in-flight offerings, which we believe will delight our customers.”

The refreshed menu boasts over 200 new items, including appetisers, main courses, and desserts. Each meal will come with a seasonal appetiser, a choice of main course, bread, dessert, and cheese and cracker, all served on a full-sized tray. The updated menu will feature a variety of bread, new starters, and two premium main course options for each flight, incorporating dishes like Beef Bourguignon, Bak Chor Mee, and Thai-style Crab Curry. The Book the Cook pre-order menu will also see an expansion, offering up to 20 rotating dishes.

Dessert selections are crafted to complement the meal, supported by a curated selection of wines, Champagne, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages chosen by SIA’s wine experts. New snack options will also be available between meals.

The amenity kit, produced in cooperation with Out of the Woods, puts an emphasis on sustainability with items made from eco-friendly materials, including eyeshades, slippers, and lip balm, all presented in biodegradable packaging.
