Singapore Airlines will be the only airline globally to serve Cristal 2015 champagne in its premium cabins from December 1, 2024, following an exclusive agreement with Louis Roederer.
The premium champagne will initially be offered on flights between Singapore and eight major destinations including London, Los Angeles and Sydney.
Singapore Airlines Senior Vice President Customer Experience Yeoh Phee Teik said the partnership elevated the airline’s luxury offering.
“This partnership between two world-class brands demonstrates Singapore Airlines’ commitment to elevating the travel experience for our discerning customers,” he said.
The Cristal 2015 blend combines 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir from 45 vineyard plots across seven Grands Crus.
Louis Roederer CEO Frédéric Rouzaud praised the champagne’s unique characteristics.
“This is a timeless champagne of supreme balance and measure, resonating with the chalkiness of its soils, bursting forth in a bracing, vertical effervescence,” he said.
SIA wine consultant Jeannie Cho Lee, the first Asian Master of Wine, said the champagne maintained its quality at altitude.
“Its depth and impressive quality from the meticulous ageing process results in a champagne with intricate and intense flavours of toasted pinenuts, crushed stones, and white flowers,” she said.
The champagne will rotate to other Suites and First Class routes every three months, joining up to three premium labels offered on each flight.
