Singapore Airlines Group recorded an 8.3 per cent increase in passenger traffic for November 2024, carrying 3.3 million passengers across its network.
The group’s passenger capacity grew 9.3 per cent compared to the same month last year, while its passenger load factor decreased slightly to 87 per cent.
Singapore Airlines and its subsidiary Scoot achieved passenger load factors of 86.8 per cent and 87.4 per cent respectively.
Cargo operations showed strong growth with loads increasing 10.3 per cent year-on-year, driven by increased freighter charters.
The group’s cargo capacity expanded by 12.8 per cent due to higher freighter aircraft utilisation and increased bellyhold capacity from additional passenger services.
West Asia and Africa recorded the strongest passenger load factor improvement of 3.6 percentage points to 88.9 per cent, while Europe saw the largest decline of 2.4 percentage points to 79.6 per cent.
Singapore Airlines launched daily passenger services to Beijing’s Daxing International Airport during November, marking its second destination in China’s capital city.
The group’s network now spans 128 destinations across 36 countries and territories, with Singapore Airlines serving 79 destinations and Scoot operating to 71 destinations.
The cargo network extends to 132 destinations in 37 countries and territories.
