Brisbane Airport still open for business

written by WOFA | January 13, 2011

Ground access to Brisbane Airport has been restricted due to the extensive flooding around South East Queensland, but flights have continued to operate without major disruption.

Brisbane Airport’s international and domestic terminals, runways, taxiways, car parks and roads are all clear of water and operating, BAC advised in an 11.30 media statement today.

Roads on the Brisbane Airport precinct are also open and are expected to remain open. However, a number of road closures around Brisbane city may delay those travelling to and from the airport.

BAC advised that public transport to and from the airport is available “but extremely limited”. However, taxis are still servicing both the domestic and international terminals.
