Bombardier Aerospace has announced the retirement of Bombardier Commercial Aircraft president, Gary Scott, effective from October 1.
Scott, who first joined the company as New Commercial Aircraft Program president in 2004, is retiring to”devote more time to his family who need him at this time.”
His role will be filled temporarily by current Bombardier president and COO, Guy Hachey, until a suitable replacement is found.
“The CSeries aircraft program is tracking well, and with the program at this advanced stage, I feel very comfortable leaving it in the capable hands of my colleagues,” Scott said of his impending retirement.
“I have full confidence in the solid team in place at Bombardier Commercial Aircraft and its ability to continue the development and execution of our programs,” he added.
