Former Qantas and Brisbane Airport executive Jim Carden has been named CEO of fledgling industry peak body Aviation/Aerospace Australia.

A/AA Chair John Duddy said Mr Carden brought a wealth of experience in aviation management that was complemented by experience in government and public affairs.

“Jim’s passion for the industry is widely known, and he has a unique combination of aviation experience, public affairs skills and networks. But he also understands that strategic engagement with stakeholders, governments and international bodies is what is needed to take the Australian industry to the next level,” Mr Duddy said.
