Embraer has announced an agreement with Venezuala’s Conviasa Airlines for the sale of six E-190 jetliners with an additional 14 purchase options. The deal was valued at US$271 million at list prices, not including the options.
Conviasa said the aircraft would be configured in a 104-seat single-class layout and would be used across its network of 14 domestic and nine international destinations. First deliveries are scheduled to take place by the end of the year.
Brazil based Embraer claims to hold 75 per cent of the regional commercial aircraft market in Latin America and the Caribbean, compared to a worldwide average of 43 per cent.
