Dates for the 2015 Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition have been announced. The industry-only trade exposition and the popular public airshow will be held from Tuesday February 24 to March 1 at Avalon Airport.

The 2015 event will commemorate the ANZAC Centenary and will pay aviation homage to a century of service by Australians in the defence of the nation.

Organisers say: “The ‘Spirit of Aviation’ will be celebrated with an unrivalled gathering of aircraft from around the world with invitations to participate at the Airshow being extended to many International Military Forces.

“It’s hoped that countries which played a role during the First World War and in particular the Gallipoli campaign will participate in the Airshow’s commemoration of the Centenary of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.”

Invitations have been extended to the United Kingdom, India, Turkey and Japan to participate.
