Australia will participate for the first time this year in the Fly it Forward Global Challenge during the annual Women of Aviation Worldwide Week celebrations.
Set by the Institute For Women Of Aviation Worldwide (WOAW), the challenge will see 37 countries participate by offering free flights to women of all ages as an incentive to take up an interest in aviation.
“We have received an overwhelming response to our events from the general public and business sectors across Australia and we are thrilled to be a part of this wonderful initiative, which aims to share with females of all ages the diverse opportunities available to them throughout aviation fields, with the support of major aviation organizations we can only continue to grow in momentum each year,” Australian Team leader Tammy Augostin said in a statement.
The challenge will take place from March 3 to 9 2014 at nine Australian locations across four states. For more information, see http://www.womenofaviationweek.org/
