A group of students from Saudi Arabia’s General Security Aviation Command (GSAC) have completed their Diploma of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course at Brisbane’s Aviation Australia.
The students have been based at Brisbane since May 2011 where they first completed an English language program before starting their diplomas.
“Our partnership with GSAC has proven to be highly successful and has once again demonstrated Aviation Australia’s capability to deliver world class and internationally recognised training CEO of Aviation Australia, Bill Horrocks said in a statement. “These graduates will be returning to Saudi Arabia working as qualified aircraft maintenance engineers with international standard training.”
The diploma is approved and recognised by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and was delivered using a blend of online and traditional classroom learning with practical hands on training using training aides and static aircraft.
