Japan’s ANA is adding a fourth Star Wars-themed aircraft to its fleet, with a Boeing 777-200 in C-3PO livery set to take to the skies from March 2017.

The airline, which launched the C-3PO 777-200 at a Star Wars Celebration Europe event in London, said the aircraft would be flown on domestic Japanese routes.

ANA has also published a video highlighting the newest addition to its Star Wars fleet.

The 777-200 joins a 777-300ER featuring the BB-8 droid, a 767-300ER with both BB-8 and R2-D2 on the fuselage and an R2-D2 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner that is sometimes seen in Australia when it operates ANA’s daily Sydney-Tokyo (Haneda) service.

ANA’s Star Wars aircraft was part of the Star Alliance member’s five-year partnership with The Walt Disney Company.

The Star Wars theme also extended to the inside the cabin, where items such as headrest covers, paper napkins and cups featured characters from the movie franchise. ANA also offered Star Wars movies as part of its inflight entertainment selection.
