
Canadian regional operator Porter Airlines has announced it will become the North American launch customer for the Embraer E195-E2 with an order for 80 jets, as well as cancelled a previous 'conditional' order for 30 Airbus A220s.

The results come a day after Boeing announced its delay of 787 Dreamliner jets due to fueslage manufacturing issues, which the company is now working with the FAA to fix.

The order will consist of a mix of Boeing 737s and Airbus A320neo jets, the mid-sized narrow-body workhorse of each respective planemaker.
