Domestic pax down in July

Domestic passenger numbers fell by 1.7 per cent during July, according to data from the Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics. Capacity during the month was down by 1.2 per cent, while load factor was static at 80.7 per cent. Aircraft trips decreased by three per cent.

The Commonwealth has announced that it will cancel the major elements of Project Air 5416, the electronic warfare self protection (EWSP) upgrade of Army’s Black Hawk helicopters.
