Just hours after Spirit Airlines walked away from its merger deal with Frontier Airlines, JetBlue secured a deal to takeover the highly-sought after budget carrier for $3.8 billion.

Spirit Airlines has walked away from its merger negotiations with Frontier Airlines, as it continues negotiations over a possible deal with rival JetBlue.

The exercise, which took place at the Point Mugu Sea Range off the coast of California, involved launching Lockheed Martin’s new AGM-88G Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile Extended Range (AARGM-ER) missiles. 

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has agreed a US $200 million deal with an undisclosed NATO member in Europe for the delivery of one of its Special Mission surveillance aircraft. The plane is scheduled to be built by IAI Group and its subsidiary ELTA Systems, which specialises in radar and intelligence solutions. It’s currently in use

The aircraft will be designed to carry up to 80 passengers at twice the speed of currently deployed platforms, with the potential to support government and military missions requiring rapid response.

The new radar system is expected to improve the fleet’s electronic warfare (EW) capability, enabling the aircraft to simultaneously detect, identify and track multiple targets in the air and on the ground.
