Traffic up at Gold Coast and Townsville airports

Passenger traffic grew strongly at Gold Coast and Townsville airports during November, but dipped at Mount Isa, according to Queensland Airports Limited, which operates the three airports.

Passenger numbers through the Gold Coast increased by 12.2 per cent, driven by a 71.1 per cent increase in international passenger numbers, while Townsville saw volumes increase by 4.8 per cent. Mount Isa on the other hand saw passenger numbers decrease by 5.57 per cent. Overall, the QAL Group recorded a 9.85 per cent increase in passengers for the month.
