FTA completes Chinese helicopter course

written by WOFA | March 16, 2010

Flight Training Adelaide (FTA) has completed the first helicopter pilot training course on behalf of the Rescue and Salvage Bureau section of the People’s Republic of China Ministry of Transport.

Eight cadets were involved in the year-long program at FTA’s Parafield facilities. The course included an English language module, ground school theory training and 140 hours flying in FTA’s fleet of Schweizer 300 Cbi helicopters. As a result the cadets have earned helicopter CPLs from CASA, the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department and the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

FTA is currently training the second course from the CRS as well as cadets from the Hong Kong Government Flying Service at Parafield.
