Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Corporation has announced that the SuperJet 100 has completed cold soak trials in Yakutsk.

One of the test aircraft, MSN 95004, undertook a number of tests to ensure its ability to start in cold conditions. As such, the test aircraft was subjected to temperatures as low as -41 degrees Celcius while seven test flights were conducted. The aircraft has now returned to Zhukovsky and will resume certification type testing alongside the three other test aircraft.

The first SSJ100 is expected to be certified in the middle of the year, with first delivery to launch customer Aeroflot towards the end of 2010.
