Boeing has announced that following analysis of test results that the 787 Dreamliner has passed its recent wing and fuselage ultimate load testing conducted on the static test airframe.
“Successfully completing this test is a critical step in the certification of the 787. This is further validation that the 787 performs as expected, even in the most extreme circumstances,” said Scott Fancher, vice president and general manager of the 787 program for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
Fancher added that passing the milestones is a significant step towards the certification of the aircraft. The first 787 delivery is due to launch customer All Nippon Airlines during the fourth quarter of the year.
