Hawaiian Airlines has announced that it has completed retrofitting blended winglets on eight Boeing 767-300ERs to help reduce fuel burn and emissions.

“The modification of eight of our existing long haul Boeing 767s … enables us to achieve even greater efficiency and environmental benefits on our trans-Pacific flights to destinations including US mainland, Australia and The Philippines,” said CEO Mark Dunkerley.

The announcement came only one day after the airline took delivery of its first Airbus A330-200.
