Cessna agent Aeromil Pacific will display a new glass cockpit Cessna 172 in Martin Place in the heart of the Sydney CBD for three days later this month, the centrepiece of a display aimed at generating fresh interest in aviation and flying in the broader general public.

“This has never been done before, I am delighted to say we have landed a first with a Cessna 172 on display in the middle of Sydney,” said Aeromil Pacific managing director Steve Padgett. “It will be all about promoting aviation, living the dream and sharing the passion we have for flying. For some living the dream is learning to fly for the shear enjoyment of the experience with family and friends, others, a flying career and for many in business, living the dream is flying in a business jet to escape the endless frustrations of airline travel and getting home in time for dinner.”

The Martin Place display will comprise the 172 aircraft, a Cessna 182 simulator, and a Garmin G1000 glass cockpit ‘training kiosk’, and will run over July 28, 29 and 30.

Aeromil says the display 172 will be available for sale “at a special Martin Place price and value added package including training, fuel, finance, insurance and maintenance.”
