The ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) has cleared Airservices Australia’s revised long term pricing agreement for air traffic control services, clearing the new pricing regime to take effect from October 1.
The ACCC had rejected Airservices’ earlier pricing proposal on the grounds that the air traffic control service provide would over-recover its costs.
“Airservices has now proposed lower prices than were in its previous proposal, which the ACCC believes will not lead it to over-recover its costs,” ACCC chairman Rod Sims said in a September 22 statement.
